Appeals

Should a registration applicant disagree with the decision of the board concerning their registration result, it is possible to request an appeal. The appeals committee consists of three experienced and registered genetic counsellors who do are not members of the branch board and have not participated in the original portfolio assessment. A fee of 50 euros will be applied.

Complaints

The remit of the EBMG is to set standards for professional practice and administer a registration system to enable individual practitioners to demonstrate that they have achieved the required competences to practice professionally. As a registration body,the EBMG may receive complaints about specific registered practitioners.These complaints may bring into question the competence of the practitioner.
